Picnic along river bank + visit Remai Modern

Day 9


15 July, 2023

In the morning, we ate bacon, sausage and fired eggs. After then, we chatted with Ashley when she was making lunch for us. We shared some of our interesting stories with her.

 

We went to a picnic today. 

We had sandwiches. It tasted good.



There was a big swing in the park. We swung happily as we had not played on a swing for a long time. We sat on the swing and two boys, Logan and Knox, from the host family pushed us. That’s crazy. They pushed it really hard. We went super high. They drove us crazy. We almost got a heart attack.

We then went to Remai Modern. It is an Art Museum. During the walk from the park to the museum. Logan always just played tricks on me.  He found a spider and tried to put it on my feet. I was just freaked out.


The museum is so huge. There were lots of Picasso’s works. Some other artists’ work was special. They were 3D, together with sounds, flashes and videos. They were like movies. All of them were amazing.


We attended two workshops.



I made two pieces of artwork,  a fishing pole and an owl. I like them so much

In the evening, we had potatoes and cheese dumplings. That's David’s favourite food. It tasted very good.

After dinner, we had our movie time. We watched X-man 3 tonight.

Wolverine was awesome. I loved him soooooo much.

Ninth school day + Hip Hop Dance

Day 14 In the afternoon, we got the subway for lunch!!! It smelled so good!!!   After lunch, we counted the number of different families. Guess what  Daisy found 56  of them   Then, we watched the true story of 3 little pigs and we started to write the story in a different perspective. Three of us chose to write Little Red Riding Hood.  After that, we went to a hip-hop dance studio. Although it was hard, we tried our best. The most impressive part was that we all did it well because all of us had tried so hard instead of giving it up.   After that, we were worn out because dancing hip hop took a lot of energy. We went to bed for a nap. Then, we got spaghetti tonight. It tasted so good. After dinner, Carmen and Daisy went for a walk and I started thinking about the video project. Seventh school day + Cinema

Day 12 In the morning, we went to school as usual.                                  In the afternoon, we went to a cinema to watch the movie  "Indiana Jones".  It was really interesting because it was showing the past of Indiana Jones. He works as a college professor.  His class doesn’t like listening to him.He was old and was about to retire.After he left the college, a student of his followed him into a bar and stuck with him by pretending to be friendly and stole something from him.         For dinner, we ate two hotdogs  with ketchup and mustard. Eighth school day + Baseball + Sask Rattlers ~~~

  Day 13 July, 19 2023 I woke up at 5:30 and finished my journal together with the story writing.   After finishing my homework, we went to the university and had regular lessons. We read Harry Potter as usual. We had to read the dialogue with feelings.    After lunch, we played baseball with Mrs. Boudais and her daughter. We all had lots of fun.
