Second school day + Forestry Farm

Day 5


Today, we started another wonderful morning. We had cereal for our breakfast this wonderful morning! It was tasty and crunchy!!!

After a delicious breakfast, we went to the University of Saskatchewan for our second lesson. Again, Mrs. Baudais asked us to introduce ourselves and played a game called “me too”.We all had fun .

After having a greeting time, we will go to a zoo today. Mrs. Baudais asked us to discuss the good and bad things about the zoos. We had a lot of ideas about good things about it.

Afterwards, Mrs. Baudais read some chapters of Harry Potter to us and also asked us to read aloud some of the paragraphs in the chapter. We had a chance to practice our reading skills by reading out.




At lunch time, we ate corn dogs, blueberry flavored yogurt, apple juice and grapes which were prepared by our host mom. In the afternoon, we learned phonics rules from Mr.McDonald.


                               




After learning about phonics, Mrs. Baudais told us to create a story based on a title.We created lots of crazy stories. Then, We continue to finish our poster of our video project.






After the lesson, we went to Forestry Farm. There were a lot of different types of animals that came from different places.





Mr.McDonald was telling us some rules before we went into the zoo.



In the zoo, there were lots of animals.

Ring-Tailed Lemur which  has exactly 13 alternating black and white bands on its tail. 

Can you see its tail in the picture?


Arctic wolves can reach running speeds  Short-Eared Owl would be active during the day.
of 55-70 km/hr.

Also, we saw a sightseeing train twice!  Naked Mole-Rat which is bred once a year.



Snow Leopard which is well adapted  Bobcats which have short, bobbed tails.

Butterflies such as buckeye, Julia, black swallowtail and many more types of butterflies.


Black-tailed prairie dogs which have black tips.





                                                                There were rabbits!!



 




       

Before we left the zoo, we also saw squirrels climbing tree! They climbed so fast!





Guess which one was our favorite?


The bear won!!!




After we went out, we saw a wonderful sky view.

Host mom prepared dinner for us.We ate soup, beef and rice.This was amazing and cheerful to end our wonderful day!

Day 14 In the afternoon, we got the subway for lunch!!! It smelled so good!!!   After lunch, we counted the number of different families. Guess what  Daisy found 56  of them   Then, we watched the true story of 3 little pigs and we started to write the story in a different perspective. Three of us chose to write Little Red Riding Hood.  After that, we went to a hip-hop dance studio. Although it was hard, we tried our best. The most impressive part was that we all did it well because all of us had tried so hard instead of giving it up.   After that, we were worn out because dancing hip hop took a lot of energy. Seventh school day + Cinema

Day 12 In the morning, we went to school as usual.                                  In the afternoon, we went to a cinema to watch the movie  "Indiana Jones".  It was really interesting because it was showing the past of Indiana Jones. He works as a college professor.  His class doesn’t like listening to him.He was old and was about to retire.After he left the college, a student of his followed him into a bar and stuck with him by pretending to be friendly and stole something from him.         For dinner, we ate two hotdogs  with ketchup and mustard. Eighth school day + Baseball + Sask Rattlers ~~~

  Day 13 July, 19 2023 I woke up at 5:30 and finished my journal together with the story writing.   After finishing my homework, we went to the university and had regular lessons. We read Harry Potter as usual. We had to read the dialogue with feelings.    After lunch, we played baseball with Mrs. Boudais and her daughter. We all had lots of fun.
