Saskatoon - Pike Lake (BBQ and Swimming)

 Day 2

Today, we went to Pike Lake Provincial Park.




Located 20 minutes south of Saskatoon, Pike Lake Provincial Park is loved for its lush lawns pleasantly shaded by aspen, ash and birch trees. Situated on the South Saskatchewan River, the park offers various recreational opportunities for visitors to enjoy including water activities, playgrounds.......

First, we played a game called ‘Scavenger Hunt’. We needed to find any items in the park starting from ‘A’ to ‘Z’. It was very challenging. We completed the game with two boys from the host family. They are Logan and Knox. They were cute and smart. 


 
     Which "letter" you are looking for?"                     Joyce asked, "How to spell barbecue?"                    
                                                                                   David said, "Sing "ABC song" first. Then I will tell                                                                                                                                     you.😎😎"

Then we ate hot dogs, chips and salad in the park. 



Our host families had prepared us the food. They were so yummy!  
Can you see the chips in yellow?   It tasted so nice ad we all loved it so much!


Mr. McDonald was frying the sausages for us. He was really nice!


Also, we went swimming today. It was a big swimming pool located in the park. 

Ashley gave us a frisbee to play with while we were in the pool. Our smiling faces showed how happy we were. Can you see that?  



We went to a 7-meter-high water slide.  It was so exciting!  We enjoyed the time in the swimming pool really much.


After swimming, our host dad took us to have pizza. It was delicious. (Zoie and Natalie)

Day 14 In the afternoon, we got the subway for lunch!!! It smelled so good!!!   After lunch, we counted the number of different families. Guess what  Daisy found 56  of them   Then, we watched the true story of 3 little pigs and we started to write the story in a different perspective. Three of us chose to write Little Red Riding Hood.  After that, we went to a hip-hop dance studio. Although it was hard, we tried our best. The most impressive part was that we all did it well because all of us had tried so hard instead of giving it up.   After that, we were worn out because dancing hip hop took a lot of energy. We went to bed for a nap. Then, we got spaghetti tonight. It tasted so good. After dinner, Carmen and Daisy went for a walk and I started thinking about the video project. Seventh school day + Cinema

Day 12 In the morning, we went to school as usual.                                  In the afternoon, we went to a cinema to watch the movie  "Indiana Jones".  It was really interesting because it was showing the past of Indiana Jones. He works as a college professor.  His class doesn’t like listening to him.He was old and was about to retire.After he left the college, a student of his followed him into a bar and stuck with him by pretending to be friendly and stole something from him.         For dinner, we ate two hotdogs  with ketchup and mustard. Eighth school day + Baseball + Sask Rattlers ~~~

  Day 13 July, 19 2023 I woke up at 5:30 and finished my journal together with the story writing.   After finishing my homework, we went to the university and had regular lessons. We read Harry Potter as usual. We had to read the dialogue with feelings.    After lunch, we played baseball with Mrs. Boudais and her daughter. We all had lots of fun.
