A Day with host family

Sunday

Today, we had cereal for breakfast.

After eating breakfast, we went to the supermarket to buy some groceries. We bought different kinds of food because our host family wanted us to try out different dishes.

Then, we went to get some ice cream. It was sweet and very yummy.

For dinner, we had chicken, steak with asparagus, mushrooms and steamed potatoes. We ate some cakes for dessert.

After having dinner, we went for a walk with the host family. We saw the beautiful sky and flowers. However, our host families told us that there was smoke in Saskatoon these days

It was a nice day!!!!

Today, we went to the Berry Barn and tried the Saskatoon Serviceberry. It looked like blueberry but it wasn't. It tasted sour. 

Ms. Gilo brought us to try the tastiest ice cream but unluckily the shop was closed so we didn't had the chance to try it 😭. We had a walk around the lake and inside the manor. Ms. Gilo told us that many people would choose to get married there.


 

We then got back home and had dinner with our host mum and dad. Daisy and I ate two large chicken thighs with rice and salads. It tasted excellent!!! After the meal, we ate purple ice cream from the Philippines. Although it looked horrible, the taste was realllllllyyyyyy good!! You must try it!!!!

This morning, we headed out of our host family’s home and walked around the town. The first place we went to was the McDonald’s. We ate a nice breakfast. We each had a hamburger and a cup of hot chocolate. 



After then, we went to the SUPERSTORE.


We bought UNO for us to play with whenever we had spare time. We also bought snacks such as Piattos (a kind of chips), peanuts, sesame seeds, Sova and marshmallow cones. Then we went to Dollarama. We bought souvenirs such as some beautiful Thank You cards, magnets and key chains. We bought a lot of things today.

On our free day, we went to the primary school in Canada. Also, we had fun on the swing. That was great. Our host dad called the lake Lakeview.


Afterwards, we went to a huge supermarket called Costco. It was very big and we had lunch there. Our host dad purchased some hotdogs for us. We found that those were so cheap in Costco.





In the afternoon, we swam in the swimming pool which is located in David’s house. We had fun with Ashley because we played volleyball with her.

Day 14 In the afternoon, we got the subway for lunch!!! It smelled so good!!!   After lunch, we counted the number of different families. Guess what  Daisy found 56  of them   Then, we watched the true story of 3 little pigs and we started to write the story in a different perspective. Three of us chose to write Little Red Riding Hood.  After that, we went to a hip-hop dance studio. Although it was hard, we tried our best. The most impressive part was that we all did it well because all of us had tried so hard instead of giving it up.   After that, we were worn out because dancing hip hop took a lot of energy. Eighth school day + Baseball + Sask Rattlers ~~~

  Day 13 July, 19 2023 I woke up at 5:30 and finished my journal together with the story writing.   After finishing my homework, we went to the university and had regular lessons. We read Harry Potter as usual. We had to read the dialogue with feelings.    After lunch, we played baseball with Mrs. Boudais and her daughter. We all had lots of fun.
